Trapani province EVENTS

Recently a new passion for sailing has taken hold of Trapani thanks to the America’s cup regatta. The city continues to hold important sailing and fishing events which appeal to people from all over the world. Publications about all current events in the province will be made available to you.

Here are some of the annual events:

• Live nativity scene in Custonaci;
• Live nativity scene in MisericordiaPark in Valderice;
• Carnival float procession in Valderice;
• Palm Sunday- procession of the “Misteri Viventi” in Busto Palizzo
• Maundy Thursday procession of the “Misteri Viventi” in Marsala ;
• Good Friday- procession of the characteristic “Misteri” of Trapani. One of the most important events in Trapani;
• Estate Valdericina(Summer in Valdericina);
• July Music festival (Luglio Musicale) Musical and theatrical events at the Tito Marrone Theatre situated in the University of Trapani. In summer, events organised in the VillaMargheritaPark;
• 7 August St Albert’s day (patron saint of Trapani);
• 16 August St Mary’s day (patron Saint of Province of Trapani);
• During the summer season, plays and concerts are held in the amphitheatre of Segesta.
